Cyanotype is a photographic printing process discovered in 1842 by Sir John Herschel that produces a cyan-blue print. Using two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide, I coat heavy weight watercolor paper, allow the paper to dry in a dark room and once dry, I make a negative from my photograph and place it on the paper and expose using UV light for several minutes, once exposed, the print is rinsed and dried exposing a beautiful color known as Cyan blue.
